This Privacy Policy describes how Foundation Freight Texas LLC, doing business as Foundation Freight ("Foundation Freight," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit foundationfreight.com, create an account, purchase our services, or communicate with us (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account information: your name, company name (optional), email address, mobile phone number, and password when you create an account.
- Business and compliance information: details you provide so we can perform the services you request, such as your business address, USDOT/MC numbers, entity details, and documents you upload for regulatory filings (e.g., BOC-3, UCR, authority setup, insurance information).
- Payment information: when you make a purchase, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we receive only limited details such as a confirmation and the last four digits.
- Communications: messages you send us and records of the notifications and messages we send you.
- Usage and device information: basic technical and analytics data (such as pages viewed and general device/browser information) collected automatically to operate and improve the Services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and deliver the services and filings you request;
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings to government agencies (such as the FMCSA) on your behalf;
- Create and secure your account, including verifying your mobile phone number;
- Send you account, service, and transactional notifications (see the SMS section below);
- Process payments and send receipts;
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
3. SMS / Text Messaging
Foundation Freight sends text messages (SMS) only to customers who provide their mobile phone number and opt in. Our SMS program supports two purposes.
Account verification: one-time passcodes to confirm your phone number and secure your account. And account notifications: transactional updates such as filing status, document-expiration reminders, and payment confirmations.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
Opt-in. You opt in to SMS by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive messages during account registration or when you request a service. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Message frequency and rates. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
Opt-out and help. You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending SMS. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@foundationfreight.com.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We do not share your mobile information or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information collected as part of the SMS opt-in will be sold or shared for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
- Email: you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those messages. We may still send you transactional messages related to your account.
